Laser treatment for gynaecomastia in Ataşehir, Istanbul: who it suits and how it works
Gynaecomastia is enlargement of male breast tissue. In selected mild to moderate (grade I–II) cases, a laser-assisted approach can reduce fat and improve chest contour; when gland tissue is prominent, other methods are needed.
Understanding the cause comes first
Gynaecomastia in adolescence often resolves on its own. In adults, medicines, hormonal disorders, liver or kidney disease and weight gain are investigated. A one-sided, firm or rapidly growing lump needs prompt further assessment.

True gynaecomastia or fat?
In true gynaecomastia a firm, rubbery gland is felt beneath the nipple; in pseudo-gynaecomastia the enlargement is fat. They are distinguished by examination and, if needed, ultrasound. Laser-assisted treatment is most meaningful in fat-dominant, mild to moderate cases.

How is it performed?
Usually under local anaesthesia through millimetre-sized entry points. Laser energy reduces fat and supports tightening beneath the skin; melted fat can be removed with fine cannulas. If gland tissue is prominent, surgical removal is discussed separately.

Recovery and compression
Swelling, bruising and tenderness are expected in the first days. A compression vest is usually recommended for a few weeks. Most people return to desk work within a few days; heavy sport waits a few weeks.

When does the result settle?
As swelling settles the chest contour becomes clearer over weeks; final assessment is usually after a few months. Keeping weight stable helps maintain the result.
