When are endolaser results visible?

Part of the change seen in the first weeks after endolaser is swelling. Skin tightening and contour change develop gradually over months as collagen remodels; the final result is usually assessed between months 3 and 6.

First days: swelling and tenderness

Swelling, mild bruising and tenderness are expected in the treated area in the first days. The tightness felt at this stage is partly swelling and does not reflect the final result.

First weeks: swelling settles

Swelling usually decreases noticeably within a few weeks. Wearing the recommended compression band or garment and attending follow-up visits support this process.

Months 1–3: change becomes visible

Laser energy stimulates collagen production beneath the skin, and this remodelling takes time. Changes in contour and firmness gradually become noticeable during these months.

Months 3–6: result assessment

The final appearance is usually assessed between months 3 and 6. Whether an additional session or supporting treatment is needed is decided together at this review.

What affects the result?

Skin quality, age, amount of fat, weight changes, smoking and following aftercare advice all affect the result. People with marked excess skin should not expect the same result as a surgical lift.

Frequently asked questions

When can I return to work?

For limited areas, most people return to desk work the same day or within a few days. The size of the treated area, compression garments, visible swelling and the physical demands of the job can affect this.

Is the result permanent?

Removed fat cells do not return, but ageing and weight changes continue to affect the skin. Keeping weight stable helps maintain the result.

Which symptoms need medical advice?

Increasing pain, spreading redness, fever, discharge or growing swelling should be reported without waiting for the follow-up visit.
